We've upgraded the Cashback program. The new card works with the new platform, and your old one stops earning on October 1. The upgrade comes with some nice additions: earning at the pump with just your phone number, a digital wallet pass, and a refreshed app.

We've moved Centex Cashback to a new, more secure platform that supports more of what members ask for. Two things change as part of the move: everyone gets a new physical card, and registered members can now earn cashback by giving the cashier their phone number — no card needed.

Your existing card will stop working when the new program launches on October 1. You can pickup a new card in-store to start earning immediately, but will not be able to redeem until you register your card online or in the app.

Pick up a new Cashback Card at any participating Centex location, then register it at centex.ca/register.
If your old card was already registered to an account, your balance is linked to that account and moves with you when you sign in. If your old card was never registered, enter the old card number when prompted and your balance transfers across.

Yes. If you have registered your phone number to your Cashback account, you will be able to enter your phone number at the pump when prompted – no card required – and cashback will be credited automatically. If the transaction is already complete, the cashback can't be added afterward — so it's worth registering your number so you don’t miss out.

Yes. Open the Cashback app and go to the barcode screen — you'll see the option to add your card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet there. Once added, your card is accessible from your phone wallet alongside any other passes you keep there.
Note: this is only available through the app. If you've registered on centex.ca but haven't downloaded the app, you won't have access to the wallet integration. To earn in-store, you must use a physical card.

Once you are registered, you can transfer balances between virtual and physical cards in your account.

Yes, registered members can add multiple cards to their account and transfer balances at anytime. See “Add Card” under your account’s home page.

Yes, gift cards with an existing balance will continue to work and integrate with the new program. However, old cards will not be able to be purchased or reloaded after October 1.

Yes, for the most part. Communications about the platform change itself — how to reset your password, how to transfer your balance — are program messages, not marketing, and go out to all registered members regardless of your email preferences.

Yes. You must have a minimum balance of $5 in cashback. Redemption increments are $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $50, $75 or $100.
